Green screen is back! Vic and Nigel tell us that Eddie Dennis faces off against Dave Mastiff tonight, we will be getting a contract signing between Pete Dunne and Joe Coffey and then runs down the background behind the upcoming Deonna Purrazzo and Toni Storm match. Lovely laying of the table...
DEONNA PURRAZZO v TONI STORM
Commentary say that tonight's match is in the spirit of 'friendly' competition. Let's see if it stays that way once these two lock up!
- Toni offers her hand to Deonna and she accepts, shaking it with a smile. Remember last week, she told Toni that she looks forward to breaking it? I wonder if that was the true meaning behind that smile?
- Great grappling game from both to begin the match.
- They counter reversals, showing they are matched in that department.
- Storm gets out of a leg scissors and tries to shake Purrazzo's hand - but she slaps it away!
- Toni puts Deonna in a leg scissors and this time it is Deonna who escapes!
- Storm attempts to shake her hand again and this time Deonna kicks it away!
- Toni nods her head in acceptance that she is now in a fight and strikes with a combo and then a low dropkick!
- STIFF STF from Storm on Purrazzo!
- Storm misses the hip attack and then attacks the arm of Storm - looking to soften it up for his fujiwara armbar finisher,
- More creative arm attacks from Purrazzo. She is wrestling similar to ZSJ!
- Backstabber by Storm!
- Hip attack lands! Toni goes for the Storm Zero but her arm gives out...
- SAVAGE headbutt by Storm! The crowd popped for that!
- RINGS OF SATURN by Purrazzo!
- This is your town huh? yelps Purrazzo.
- Both exchange stiff chops and strikes...
- Toni counters the Fujiwara and lands a snap suplex...
- STORM ZERO
- STORM WINS!
- Post match, Rhea Ripley comes out and flaunts her NXT UK Women's Championship in front of Toni Storm.
- That match was great. Storm saw it as friendly competition, but Purrazzo was in it to prove her worth. The match broke down into a fight and Purrazzo targeted the arm beautifully. She was one move away from the win, but Storm countered it. Then we got the face to face between champion and challenger. Wonderful! Will Storm's arm get targeted on Saturday?

JOSH MORRELL v WILD BOAR
Josh Morrell made it to the ring without getting bodyslammed on the ramp this time, so progress made there!
- Boar! Boar! Boar! How do you like it? How do you like it? Fantastic from the Liverpool crowd. Clearly fans of Attack!
- Morrell’s thrown around the ring by Boar early, who went to work on his arm, only for Morrell to flip free and… get stuffed when he went for a wheelbarrow.
- Boar responds with a back senton onto him for a near-fall,
- Nerve holds to keep 'Turbo' grounded.
- Eventually, Morrell gets free and lands a standing flip senton for a near-fall on Boar, following up with an uppercut!
- A second one misses, so he goes for a springboard sunset flip, only for Boar to kick out and take him into the opposite corner with a Fireman’s carry.
- INVERTED CANNONBALL!
- FROG SPLASH!
- WILD BOAR WINS!
- Boar picks up his first NXT UK win in a match that seems to me to put him as a heel. No face has ever used a nerve hold, right? A very enjoyable competitive squash.

JOSEPH CONNERS PROMO
Conners said that he was sold a lie when he signed for NXT UK. He was told that this was our NXT. Just like the new shiny toys were told... We Are NXT. It's every man for himself - and if he has to break every single one of these new toys... so be it.
- A variation on the theme of his last promo. I like it.

TRAVIS BANKS PROMO
Travis Banks responds to Jordan Devlin saying that he doesn't care for New Zealand because he never goes home. He says that the UK gave him an opportunity, but that doesn't mean that he loves his country less than Devlin loves his.
You want to call me out? Then let's do it...
- This is the worst kind of babyface in my opinion. Banks is capable of being funny, prideful and sincere as a face. He comes across as none of those things here. Devlin came across like a brilliant douche on his part, Banks' comeback was not good though, in my opinion. A shame. We move on though, the match will be awesome!

EUROPEAN UNION BACKSTAGE
Fabian Aichner and Marcel Barthel are intimidating Sid Scala. The assistant to the GM fight back with 'Enough Gentlemen!!' He explains that the duo have only just arrived in NXT UK and the opportunity next week in the tag team semi-final does still go to Mark Andrews and Flash Morgan Webster.
Sid Scala adds that he and Johnny Saint have noted their attitude and if they intervene with the match next week, they will leave NXT UK as soon as they arrive! Barthel stops Aichner from physically attacking Scala and the pair walk off angrily.
- Well done Sid! This bloke is doing all the hard work isn't he? I loved this. European Union are great and Scala is the man!

DAVE MASTIFF v EDDIE DENNIS
Mastiff is undefeated on this show, whilst Dennis has only lost one match - and that was against Mastiff! They have been attacking each other ever since - who will win this grudge match?
- Dennis charges at Mastiff to begin and lands strikes to boos from the crowd.
- Eddie charges again, but this time eats an elbow to cheers from the crowd!
- They trade blows, but neither man leaves their feet...
- Until Mastiff lands a big crossbody!
- Missile dropkick by Mastiff!
- Mastiff ties Dennis up in the ropes and hits big elbows to the jaw! Ouch!
- Eddie Dennis rolls to the outside and attempts to hit Severn Bridge on Mastiff - but the big man wriggles out of the position and back onto his feet on the outside.
- Mastiff hits a Finlay roll on the outside on Dennis!
- 'Bomber' Dave tries to squash Dennis into the steps, but Dennis moves and he crashes into them!
- Both men get back into the ring at nine!
- Whilst both on their knees, they trade forearms...
- Back up to their feet now, they continue laying in strikes!
- Referee Joel attempts to come between them and both accidentally strike him!
- DOUBLE DQ!
- Mastiff and Dennis carry on after the match!
- Let them fight chants from the crowd
- Johnny Saint arrives!
- He says that if this is the way they want it... at NXT UK Takeover: Blackpool they will face off in a no disqualification match!
- This makes perfect sense, as the match ended in a double DQ. Neither man took a loss here and we get the payoff at Takeover. Great stuff!

NXT UK CHAMPIONSHIP CONTRACT SIGNING
Both wrestlers are dressed impeccably. Fashionable sods. Scala asks both to take their seats. They stay stood and stare down.
Joe Coffey says it's like when two heads of firms meet to discuss business, Nice! At NXT Blackpool, there is going to be a changing of the guard. Coffey tells Scala and Saint to back up as they are breathing down his neck. They oblige.
Coffey says he wants a moment with The Brusierweight. All of this, this ring, this country, this Kingdom, this brand... is now MINE. And at Takeover, that title is going to be mine too. How long have you been champion? Ask yourself why? It's simply because I, Joe Coffey have not been here!
No one has toppled you because the rest are pawns in this game - it is time for the Iron King to claim his throne. He signs the contract...
Pete Dunne grabs his hand and FINGER SNAP! Dunne signs the contract and says 'You talk too much!'
Gallus arrive on the ramp and Joe Coffey attacks Dunne from behind as he is distracted in the ring... and powerbombs Dunne through the table!
- Bloody hell, that was great. They have done a brilliant job with Joe Coffey. He feels like a genuine threat to Pete Dunne's title and I am HYPE for Takeover after that...
