NXT UK is back this week with the final two tapings from Cambridge, Vic Joseph and Nigel McGuinness hype the main event NXT UK title match between Pete Dunne and Danny Burch and we are off to the races...
DAVE MASTIFF v DAMIEN WEIR
Vic Joseph says that Bomber Dave Mastiff shakes the cameras as he walks past... No Fun Damien Weir looks petrified of the man from the black country!
- Weir goes for a crossbody to start and just bounces off the massive Mastiff.
- Mastiff hits the senton straight after!
- Delayed vertical slam! Mastiff just drops Weir after holding him up for close to 15 seconds.
- Mastiff drags Dunne into the corner and gives him the thumbs up...
- CANNONBALL!
- DAVE MASTIFF WINS!
- This was a great squash. Damien Weir was great as the terrified jobber and unlike his first appearance, Mastiff was clearly in face territory here, with a bit more banter edition about him with the thumbs up.
WOLFGANG HEEL TURN RECAP
We get a replay of how Wolfgang turned heel on Mark Andrews and Flash Morgan Webster last week and joined the Coffey Brothers in giving them a kicking. We are told we will see them later in the show...
- I think the turn needed to happen as Wolfgang wasn't clicking as a face...
LIGERO v JAMES DRAKE
Both wrestlers get a VT introducing themselves to the new audience. Ligero is a British luchador who started wearing the mask to stand out and James Drake has travelled the world to become an elite superstar.
- Arseface chants for James Drake from the crowd, as he has his face on his trunks.
- Drake looks to ground Ligero to start.
- Jumping heel kick by Ligero
- James Drake lays in his forearm strikes
- The aggressive brawling of Drake takes control of the match.
- Sunset flip powerbomb for 2 by Ligero!
- Grit Your Teeth corner dropkick by Drake!
- Ligero kicks out at 2!
- Springboard tornado DDT by Ligero!
- LIGERO WINS!
- That was a good little match-up. Drake got over his aggression, but Ligero showed tenacity to go 2-0 in NXT UK!
TONI STORM & DAKOTA KAI BACKSTAGE
Toni Storm says that she has heard that Dakota Kai wants to be the first ever WWE Women's champion. They have similar goals, but she is Toni Storm and she will...
Dakota Kai interrupts her and says she respects her, but she meant it when she said she is willing to kick anyone's head off who gets in the way of what she wants. So as good as Toni is going to be next week, I'm going to be that much better.
Alright... in that case, may the best woman win, says Toni Storm.
- Their match next week could be a banger!
THE COFFEYS and WOLFGANG PROMO
Ashton Smith was making his entrance for a match when he was attacked by Wolfgang and the Coffey Brothers... they head to the ring for a promo once they send him packing.
Ever since the Royal Albert Hall, Joe and Mark Coffey have been running through the competition - no one likes us and we don't care. Joe Coffey had an epiphany at the Albert Hall. He likes to surround himself with the same mentality as him. Whether it's blood or water.
We Are NXT UK. I see it as a hierarchy and if you aren't on our level we will dispose of you. No more British Strong Style or Big Strong Bois.
From now on in, its a pack mentality. This is OUR KINGDOM.
- The crowd was giving it to Coffey large here, and despite a sign of nerves he dealt with it pretty well. They come across as menacing and should provide a good amount of heat. I hope The Kingdom is their stable name so I don't have to write Wolfgang and The Coffeys every time...
SID SCALA v EDDIE DENNIS
Sid Scala gets an entrance unlike the unfortunate Damien Weir. That would be a fun name for him actually. Eddie Dennis makes his NXT UK debut here as commentary big up his intelligence and brawn, saying he has a degree and is a national judo medallist.
- Dennis toys with Scala to begin.
- Scala fires back with a big forearm
- Dennis answers back with a bigger forearm and kicks to the head.
- Eddie tries for quick pins but Scala keeps kicking out at 2
- Dennis has Scala by the hair... 'I have waited a decade for this moment and THIS is the person you give me?
- Scala responds with a slap to the face! G'warn Sid!
- Eddie Dennis maniacally laughs it off
- Scala avoids the onrushing Dennis, goes up top and hits a crossbody!
- Razor's edge buckle bomb by Dennis!
- Next Stop Driver!
- EDDIE DENNIS WINS!
- This was excellent. Eddie Dennis' character work is great and Sid Scala was ace as the underdog.
NXT UK CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: PETE DUNNE (c) v DANNY BURCH
- They grapple until Burch reaches the ropes. Dunne stiff kicks him in the back. Burch smirks.
- Dunne works the fingers
- Dunne fakes a clean break and wallops Burch.
- Burch catches Dunne and applies an STF.
- Dunne powders out the ring and Burch goes to chase but Dunne torques his ankle and then ex-plex's him on the apron!
- Dunne kicks Burch's elbow from underneath him. Yuck.

- Burch reverses into a crossface.
- Danny Burch turns Pete Dunne inside out with a lariat.
- Dunne has finger control and stamps on the head of Burch continuously!
- Dunne does his taunt, but Burch gets up and headbutts him!

- STANDING OVATION! Danny Burch chants...
- Crossface!
- Dunne uses the fingers to break out.
- Bitter End!
- Burch kicks out at 2!
- STANDING OVATION!
- Triangle and finger snap!
- Danny Burch taps!
- PETE DUNNE WINS!
- Burch nods at Dunne and then leaves the ring clutching his fingers.
- Pete Dunne poses with his title in his mouth to close us out.
- That was a barnburner. The crowd ate it up and I loved the arm work throughout that played into the finish. Beautiful.
Another really enjoyable NXT UK show. We must get ourselves to a taping sometime soon!
