The show starts with a picture tribute to Dynamite Kid who sadly passed away this week...
SCOTTISH KINGDOM PROMO
What words did they say about us? Ruthless, underhanded, vicious? Well... they are absolutely right! NXT UK is yours Mark Coffey, yours Wolfgang, it's mine... this is our Kingdom.
Not Your Kingdom chants from the crowd...
British Strong Style. That name doesn't even register because last week I could smell the fear. No such thing as big strong boys anymore... the noise in NXT UK is gallus, because we run NXT UK.
So we finally have a name for this trio? GALLUS!
Travis Banks comes out... Joe Coffey says Travis how have you been, because in Cambridge, we put you on the shelf, son! You and me, square go, son! Come on! Commentary mention Banks needs to be smart here, technically it is three on one.
Banks isn't smart... he runs at Joe Coffey and takes him out, only for the other Gallus members to strike him down.
Here come Moustache Mountain! Tyler Bate is wearing Becky Lynch's spray on leather trousers but he has just enough mobility in them to clear house along with Trent Seven.
- That was a solid start to the show. The heels finally have a name as a trio and attempted to use the numbers game once again to their advantage, only for super hot faces Moustache Mountain to make the save. I enjoy seeing Travis Banks back too and whilst he clearly has little intelligence, he does have a big heart. Lovely stuff.
JORDAN DEVLIN BACKSTAGE
Devlin says he took Pete Dunne to the limit last time out and he saw something in him that no one else has managed - fear. The champ thought Devlin had him. This week he faces Morgan Webster and he intends to rip up his anorak and kick his scooter helmet into the fifth row. He's the ace in the pack of cards and Webster is the joker.
Remember... ace beats all.
- I liked this a lot, and I am hype for the main event! Devlin comes across as a major player - but can he get past fan favourite Webster later?
MARK ANDREWS v FABIAN AICHNER
- Fabian Aichner shakes the hand of Andrews pre-match. I like that because it gives the crowd an opportunity to see if the relatively unknown Aichner is a face or a heel. His music is kind of heelish and he is against Andrews, so I guess plenty were assuming he was a heel live until this point.
- Andrews shows his incredible pace with a round the world head scissors!
- Nip up and a tope to follow up! What a start!
- Pop up spinning backbreaker by Aichner! Bloody hell this is indie-rific!
- Aichner slows things down with a body scissors.
- Knee slide enziguri! Man, that move is so fun!
- Stomp 182 and a twisting moonsault for 2 by Andrews!
- Andrews turns a powerbomb into a hurricanrana for 2! Aichner is a great base for these Andrews maneuvers!
- Cyclone suplex by Aichner! Those are rare these days!
- Andrews goes for the kneeslide but Aichner avoids the enziguri and TURNS ANDREWS INSIDE OUT with a lariat!
- Aichner foolishly tries to suplex Andrews... STUNDOG MILLIONAIRE!
- Both men are down and we get strong NXT chants...
- Aichner catches Andrews off the ropes and plants him with a brainbuster!
- Somehow Andrews kicks out at 2!
- Air Aichner misses!
- Spiked tornado DDT for 2 by Andrews!
- Shooting star press by Andrews, but he lands on his feet as Aichner rolls to the outside...
- Aichner sends Andrews into the steps then crushes him between the steps with a running knee!
- Aichner rolls back in and tries to win by countout! BOO
- Andrews barely makes the count by rolling in on nine...
- Aichner rag dolls him and hits a vicious spinning powerbomb for 3!
- AICHNER WINS!
- Post match Aichner throws his sweat on the fallen body of Andrews in a show of disrespect.
- WOW. This was a banger! It was a face v face match of all the movez until Aichner did a 180 in attitude, dialled up the aggression and got the win. I loved this so much. Andrews showed heart to even get back in the ring on nine, but fell to the debuting Aichner. More of this please, Trips!
JOHNNY SAINT INTERVIEW
Radzi mentions all the action happening on NXT UK and suggests to Johnny Saint that it must be difficult being in charge...
Johnny Saint says it is a tough job and that is why he has a new assistant. Friend of the group, Sid Scala! He says he is delighted to be handed the opportunity but before he can go on, NXT UK Women's champion Rhea Ripley interrupts and says they better find some REAL competition for her.
She squeezes the much smaller Scala's cheeks and plays with him, showing him little respect. She finishes by telling Johnny Saint that she doesn't think much of his hired help... Sid looks sad.
- YES! Sid Scala has an authority character and it is going to be brilliant. He can handle some of the talking for Johnny and be involved in plenty more storylines than him too. Bring it on!
ISLA DAWN v NINA SAMUELS
- During Isla Dawn's entrance commentary say "An eerie presence has come over Plymouth." That made me laugh.
- They lock up and quickly break.
- Dawn grounds the action, but Samuels powers out but Dawn trips her up and works a side headlock.
- Samuels escapes, lays the boots to her, and then grounds things again.
- Nina slams her to the buckles and follows with a backbreaker for 2.
- Samuels misses a charge, Dawn lights her up with strikes and kicks
- Backdrop driver!
- The knee strike and a suplex into the float over for the 3!
- ISLA DAWN WINS!
- That was quick! It is clear they are putting faith in Dawn, let's hope she gets some longer matches soon.
TUCKER v EDDIE DENNIS
- The undefeated Eddie Dennis scowls at the crowd during his entrance, then at his opponent Tucker, once in the ring.
- Dennis hits clubbing blows to the back of Tucker to begin.
- Tucker tries a crossbody but gets caught...
- Eddie Dennis hits a BRUTAL spinning backbreaker!
- He continues his aggressive style, with a cravat locked in and hitting knee strikes to the chin. OUCH.
- Tucker hits a back elbow out of the corner then nips up and hypes up the crowd...
- He hits a running clothesline in the corner and goes for a slingshot flatliner...
- Dennis catches him... puts him down and BOOM Lariat!
- Severn Bridge!
- NEXT STOP DRIVER!
- EDDIE DENNIS WINS!
- Eddie Dennis continues to dominate the competition... who will be his first real test in the brand? Tucker looked good again, despite another defeat. He can go.
JORDAN DEVLIN v FLASH MORGAN WEBSTER
- I have so much time for both of these wrestlers... looking forward to this one!
- Great grappling from both to begin, with Webster gaining the advantage.
- Devlin retreats into the ropes as he is struggling for momentum. Smart.
- Webster attempts a corner splash but misses.
- Devlin responds with a backstabber!
- Jordan Devlin follows up by scraping his boot across Webster's face in the corner. Boo!
- Webster is on his knees but still fighting...
- Devlin slaps him, then hits the unagi and moonsault combo for 2.
- Inverted backbreaker! Devlin covers with his forearm across the face but Webster kicks out.
- Webster almost steals one with a roll up for 2!
- Devlin gets up and hits a lariat to put Webster back down...
- The Irish Ace puts Webster in a nasty submission and adds the point of his elbow to the ribs!
- Devlin throws Webster outside, then hits him against the apron.
- Back in the ring now and Webster is starting to fight back...
- Devlin SLAPS him in the face again. What a bastard!
- It fires up Webster, but Devlin goes to the eyes!
- Devlin is stood over the fallen Webster and taunting him...
- 'You don't belong at this level, you're not in my league'
- SICK KICK! Webster is alive!
- Enziguri in the corner almost sends Devlin off the top rope!
- Hurricanrana off the top rope!
- Devlin kicks out at 2!
- Facewash in the corner by Devlin!
- Pull up suplex! Webster kicks out!
- Webster hits a HUGE headbutt that sends Devlin out of the ring!
- Rudeboy bodyblock off the steps to the outside by Webster!
- IRELAND'S CALL!
- JORDAN DEVLIN WINS!
- Another great main event for NXT UK. Devlin was in charge for most of the match, but Webster got his stuff in near the end, showing great fire. In the end the antagonistic Devlin wins out - because the ace beats all. Great stuff!
