Elimination Chamber Roundtable

Writer's picture: WSBFWSBF

The Boss is busy this week, so JCH filling in. The Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel of roundtable question masters. Let's see what the nerds think of the upcoming Elimination Chamber.

1. We're in that holding pattern between Rumble and Mania anything really grabbing you on tonight's card?

Ross: Think it looks a bit meh on paper, but the two chamber matches have enough to intrigue me. Not sure who gets the tag belts, so that will be fun and they did a great job of making us care about Kofi on Tuesday.
Matt: Nah. The 2 Chamber matches should be fun but I can't say I'm invested in the Women's Tags and Bryan looks a shoe in as it stands.
Luke: Ronda vs Ruby if given the minutes will be another notch on the belt for Ronda's case of being the best female wrestler in the company. Obviously a chamber is always interesting...unless it's for the Intercontinental Title and has Ryback in it.
Pete: I’m not going to lie, certain tabloid-esque scoops from this week have got me pretty excited to see the Women’s Chamber and the McMiz vs Brew-sos matches. I’m excited for very much the wrong reasons.
James: I'm looking forward to the tag team chamber. Hope the Iconics get a good outing. Also my standard answer. CRUSIERWEIGHTS.

2. Will see any of the TLC MVPs Becky, Asuka, Charlotte in any way tonight?

Ross: I hope to see them on the card somewhere – best things going at the moment.
Matt: You'd think they would manufacture a way to have Becky show up.
Luke: Becky may show up. I doubt we see Charlotte or Asuka
Pete: Who the fuck is Asuka? Anyway there’s only one MVP of TLC and she’s ringside for Ronda and Ruby. Becky should stay home before her knee explodes again.
James: Where is Asuka. She smashed it at TLC, smashed it at the Rumble and hasn't been on TV I don't think since. She's the champ. I guess you've put all your women in the chamber so there isn't much for her to do, but come on man. Hopefully Becks turns up earlyish else the crowd will just chant for her all night. Pete reminded me that Charlotte is going to be ringside for Ronda, makes most sense if Becky turns up then I guess.

3. Where is the Smackdown Main Event scene heading tonight and on to Mania?

Ross: I really don’t know. For his work of late, I think Joe deserves it, but him and the New Daniel Bryan don’t particularly suit for a feud?
Matt: Who knows? I'd imagine in the short term Bryan isn't losing his Custom Belt but they still have the best part of 2 months to build a challenger and that seed might be planted tonight.
Luke: No idea to be honest, as long as it doesn't include Randy Orton or Shane McMahon - I'm happy. I'd like to see DBry enter Mania with the title though.
Pete: R-Truth isn’t on the card so as far as I’m concerned there is no main event scene. Good job, fellas. In all seriousness, I can definitely see the New Day vs Bryan and Bludgeon feud kicking off in full steam.
James: I am predicting Bryan will take the belt in to Mania at the very least. Will his opponent be in this match? Or will they find someone else....possibly a John Cena....surely it won't be Rey Mysterio v Bryan at mania will it? It should be Almas. hang on where is bloody Almas on this show. We want Almas.

4. Whose punches would hurt less Shane McMahon or Monroe-Skye Mizanin?

Ross: Is he jumping off something at the time? That would add some oomph.
Matt: Is that Miz's child?
Luke: Shane's the best wrestler in the world, punches included right?
Pete: Monroe’s. She can probably work. Shane misses by a mile and still potatoes you, that’s what makes him the BEST IN THE WORLD.
James: Definitely Monroe-Skye. Having to watch people like Cesaro, who actually is one of the best in the world sell those rabbit fists is a tragedy. Is he trolling us or does he actually think they are good??? Surely he's not that delusional...hang on what's his surname again?

5. What's your dream Chamber Match?

Ross: Excellent question. Can I just watch the 2002 one again? Love that match
Matt: I actually really like the line up for the WWE title this year. It just seems very predictable.
Luke: Not Ryback
Pete: Jeff Cobb, Otis Dozovic, Tomohiro Ishii, Braun Strowman, the Great Khali and Cheeseburger. Nothing but fucking hosses.
James: Andrade 'Cien' Almas, Will Ospreay, Arisa Hoshiki, Madison Eagles, The O.J.M.O and Minoru Suzuki. Perfect mix of flyers, kicks, submissions and a crazy old dude to beat the fuck out of all of them.
